The South Charleston Public Library (SCPL) is an independent, municipal library which relies solely on support by the City of South Charleston, the State of West Virginia, private contributions, and funds received through daily operations.
Located near City Hall at Fourth Avenue and D Street, SCPL has served the citizens of South Charleston since 1943. Launched with donated books organized by a group of engaged community leaders, the library currently maintains a robust collection of print and electronic resources and materials, and provides technology access including computers, wireless internet, and printers. The library also has meeting rooms used by area nonprofits and groups. |
